技術傳承的森林

基地位於奈良縣吉野郡川上村，是個以林業維生的小村落，近年來因國外木料大量進口而逐漸沒落。在川上村，復興吉野林業是設計者思考的議題。在基地上設置森林管理員之家，臨時公車停靠點和山中小屋，並在村中設立林業博物館與特色民宿，增加當地的遊客並推廣傳統林業。讓更多人了解林業技術與經營，可望改善木料需求量下降與林業後繼者不足的問題。

The site is Kawakami village, Yoshino district and the surrounding area, Nara Prefecture. The purpose is a revival of the Yoshino forestry. To improve the decrease of demand and successors, people should recognize the technique of forestry. By providing programs–trainees of Yamamoris learn how to manage forests and produce furniture, the bus stops, the huts in mountain and museum and accommodation for people who come to the village. So that people will be involved in the distribution and the silviculture of woods.
